Lucy here. Fifth grade is everything I thought it would be and more. I totally rock at being the captain of the dance team. I've recruited some of the best dancers Fancy Paws has ever seen. Our practices are awesome, and I can't wait until the first basketball game when we get to wear our uniforms. PAWESOME!
Clara is doing OK. I've gotten used to having her around and it's actually fun to hang out with her sometimes. Though I still like to bite her face whenever I can. Guia thinks we're funny. but I think it's what sisters are supposed to be like. Speaking of my guinea friend, she was very successful at the fair, winning a blue ribbon. Her cousin Guillermo from San Antonio helped her with her display. Her cousin taught me to say, "Me gusta bailar" and "Me gustan los perros!" Don't tell my mom or she'll make me speak Spanish all the time.
Gotta run,
Lucy B.
Alright, I need to get serious about blogging. I really should have done it during my first year of teaching what with all the vomitting (by the students), after school detentions, meetings, observations, and what not. But now in my second year, I'm going to commit of not for any other reason than what a student said to me today; "I've never had a Spanish class like this before." This was after a huge hug. I'm not sure how much Spanish they know, but they seem to like it and the principal wants to take my class. I have never fit into anything so well as teaching, except maybe being married to Jon.
