Wow. So much has happened since the last time I updated. For a quick run down:
- My greatgrandmother passed away at the age of 98. She just retired 2 years ago from a career with the Salvation Army that lasted more than 75 years.
- Lucy got spayed and is recovering nicely.
- T and JP got married. It was beautiful and nothing bad happened at all. the day was so smooth. i was so glad she was able to enjoy such a seemless day of happy stuffs.
- We booked a photographer for only $100 down and J gave him his stamp of approval.
- Mom is preparing for some outpatient sugery. She has a hernia and won't be able to lift anything over 10 pounds for 6 weeks. She's worried about Christmas shopping, but I'm going to try and help as much as I can.
- I want the Cubbies to win so bad it hurts my intestines.
Well, that's the rundown. If you just check this site to see what's going on, stop reading now because the rest is just going to be details. If you enjoy, for whatever reason, my musings, then read on.
I am so stoked about gettin' hitched. Being in love with Jon is so wonderful. I miss him everyday, all day and I'll be glad when I can come home at night to his arms. (no offense Lucy, you do a good job keeping me company!)
It was really good to see my Centre friends at T's wedding. They all seem to be doing real well. A lot of us seem to be a bit dissatisfied with our current jobs. I think we have to be realistic though and realize that it will take time for us to really figure out what we want to get paid for doing. After taking Lucy to the vet today, I'm back to the vet tech dream. Last week I wanted to following in jon's dress shoes and be a counselor, which is certainly still on the table. I don't know. I just want to help people, and I don't want to ever leave work feeling like it didn't matter. I want to use the gifts God gave me to serve others. I guess the first step would be to locate said gifts and learn to use them.
